Live Streaming gehörte schon immer zu den Lieblingsthemen bei FMarket.de, entsprechend aufmerksam wird das Thema beobachtet. Und dann heisst es plötzlich die Live Streaming Community YouNow ist in der jüngeren Bevölkerungsgruppe in Deutschland äusserst populär. Habe ich da was verpasst? Ja und nein, denn YouNow ist keine neue Community sondern aus blogTV hervor gegangen. Neuer Name, neues Glück also und das scheint gut zu funktionieren.
blogTV war einer der ersten Live Streaming Services, bei dem all und jeder Live auf Sendung gehen konnte, eine Webcam genügt und der Weg zum bescheidenen oder weniger bescheidenen Ruhm ist offen, ähnlich wie bei YouTube. Was ist jetzt anders als bei blogTV? Neben dem Design ist die Seite besser navigierbar, ist mit vielen Tags versehen und verfügt nun über eine Android App. Auch hat die Seite sowas wie Charts, d.h. Trending People und Trending Tags.
Bei mir im Live Player spielt übrigens grad ein älterer Herr, ganz entgegen der Ansage YouNow sei vor allem unter jungen Menschen beliebt. Das erinnert mich an den frühen YouTube Channel von geriatric, ein früher YouTube Star, ein älterer Herr, der aus seinem Leben erzählt hat: YouNow.
